Wow! I'm glad to be able to vote on my faves... Surf 94.9 is da bomb! I just returned from a week at MB, and listened to Surf every day/night while there. I also made my regular stops at Fat Harolds, HOTOs, Ducks, and OD Pavilion. Wish I could be there for the SOS gathering this weekend. Cheers! Bob C. |

The Surf is by far the best beach music station around anywhere.
I wanted to thank Billy Smith for the wonderful music at Spudz on Saturday night. It was a blast. The evening was perfect with the full moon, dinner on the deck, then the wonderful music with Billy Smith DJing. Thanks Billy again for the wonderful time at Spudz.
Keep spinning those great tunes.
Sincerely,
Carol and Larry |

Hi,
I just discovered your station a couple of days ago. And I AM IN LOVE WITH IT! I grew up in N. Carolina, but now live in Atlanta. I used to spend our summer vacations in Myrtle Beach and this station brings back memories of beach times. And it makes me just so happy to listen to these great tunes! Thank you so much and keep up the FABULOUS job of bringing this great music back.
Sincerely,
Amelie |

Well, I certainly will add my 2 cents worth here about Ray Scott! As former keyboardist for the now defunct High Roller Band, Ray was always for the enjoyment and promotion of life and beach music. He is an honorable gentleman and professional every time ALL THE TIME! When I was in MB years ago promoting the band, Ray took time with me and never once did I notice his slang or mispronunciation of words...it was simply Ray. For someone to pick on Ray because of the way he talks, well, they have to be the most asinine and uncaring people to date. God Bless you Ray Scott! Your friend, Ken Hardee |

I am sorry. I was listening to the top 40 count down being played on Sat morning Did I miss out one week? I know that My Big Sisters Radio by Mike Schermer was number "2" on the popular vote one week. It fills the dance floor at NMB and on this side of the mountains. KY, TN, and OH. too. Maybe it has been voted No. 1 and I missed seeing the list that week. Thank you for asking. MY ooops! There are lots of greats songs out right now. I take nothing away from Craig Woolard's song I've Got A Feeling being No. 1 this week. I play it everytime I dj. I love his songs too. I just like the song My Big Sisters Radio - have never met the artist or anyone connected with the song. |

i'm two days late, but like everyone else says leave Ray S. alone. My brother makes fun of the way I talk, but I can discount him because he is my brother, but saying it to someone else is WRONG, and it hurts. So that being said leave Ray alone. |

"We love Ray Scott...he might just be the hardest working man in all of Myrtle Beach Radio...EVER!"
OH, HE IS!
"But...lord have mercy...why..oh why...must he drop all the vowels and constants when he talks...that is "NOT" just speaking Southern...that is simply wrong!"
EXCUSE ME?!!? CONSTANTS...DID YOU MEAN CONSONANTS?? AND IF SO HOW WOULD ONE SPEAK AFTER THEY DROP THEIR VOWELS AND CONSONANTS??? REGARDLESS; IF THE WAY RAY SPEAKS IS SOUTHERN OR NOT...IT'S WHAT MAKES HIM WHO HE IS.
I ALSO CAN'T IMAGINE LIVING THE TYPE OF LUXURIOUS LIFESTYLE YOU MUST LEAD TO ONLY FIND THE WAY ONE SPEAKS AS A PROBLEM THAT NEEDS TO BE POINTED OUT AND RECTIFIED. YOU SEE I CAN FIND MANY OTHER THINGS THAT FALL MUCH HIGHER ON MY LIST OF THINGS THAT ARE IMPORTANT ENOUGH TO FUSS AND FIGHT FOR:
OUR TROOPS
OUR CHILDREN
OUR GOVERNMENT
I COULD GO ON AN ON BUT I GUARANTEE THAT YOU WILL NOT FIND THE WAY THAT RAY SCOTT SPEAKS ON MY LIST.
THAT ASIDE, EVERYONE IS ENTITLED TO THEIR OWN OPINION, FAIR IS FAIR, BUT THE WAY YOUR COMMENT IS WORDED WILL OFEND MANY A FAN AND FRIEND OF MR. RAY SCOTT.
GOOD DAY. |

I CAN'T BELIEVE SOMEONE HAS THE GALL TO CRITIZE RAY SCOTT. ON THE AIR OR THE DJ STAND, HE IS THE MOST ENTHUSIASTIC & EXCITING PERSONALITY I HAVE HAD THE PLEASURE OF LISTENING TO. ASKING RAY TO CHANGE WOULD BE LIKE ASKING HAROLD'S TO BECOME A "DISCO CLUB". IT JUST AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN. KEEP ON TRUCKING RAY CAUSE YOU'RE MY MAIN MAN ON MAIN ST. K.C. |

Response to Ray Scott critic....what is wrong here is the lack of class/respect for an individual. If you or anyone has an issue with a person's grammer/slang, I believe there are better/more proper ways to handle any criticism. Certainly not via a "comment" area which is publicized for the world to view. And where in this wonderful world do you live? Certainly not originally from the South or, if so, you have developed an "air" about you that belongs somewhere else! This is probably the rudest and most cold-hearted comment I have ever seen on this site. I am appalled that there are people like you in this world, much less the South. |

Response to the Ray Scott critic...
And where do you live?? Who cares whether he uses what you call "proper grammar." Let Ray be himself. Is there anything wrong with that?? And, by the way, from now on you need to capitalize "Lord." PLEASE... that is simply WRONG. It AIN'T got nothing to do with being Southern!!! |

Everyone has an opinion of which song he or she likes. That is why the voting system states 1---10. Isn't it nice to vote your honest opinion? What moves one person does not move another. Thank you for letting us vote our true honest selection. Keep up the good work. |

You have spoiled us trying to do the right thing. I am sure that the voting problem is a 'real' problem for you. My opinion is that we should be able to vote for our favorite music as we choose, whether it is one or ten, or anywhere in between. After all, you give us that option. At the same time, if you can fix it so one can only vote once per week, it should help clear up the problem. Hopefully, this would help keep people from overloading the voting system to satisfy their egos. Regardless, please keep up the good work. I am sure that the majority of us really appreciate it!! |
