Sad news were heard today about the closing of Dynamites. This is such an disappointment to me and my wife.
This was our favorite place to go dance and have fun and not to be in crowded clubs like fat harolds and
Ducks. What will now happen to the shaggers when they come back down here for Spring SOS 2008 and not having
Dynamites. Now it will really be crowded in the other clubs and that is very good for business. I will truly
miss Dynamites and had gone to H's in OD. And I know 94.9 The Surf will miss Dynamites also because they
had their live air shows there and was an great supporter for them. Now back to the smoking crowed clubs. We
need these big clubs so it will not be soo crowded. And for the bands who played there and packed Dynamites,
Craig Woolard band, Jim Quiock and Coastline band, Sea Cruz, Fantastic Shakers, The Mighty Tams and many other
bands. Dynamites will you please consider staying open, if not thanks Kenneth, Cindy, Jeff for such an great
place to party. Wish you the very best!!!!

SmileA good frined of mine talked me into going to a Singles Dance this past weekend in Kinston, NC. The
Carousel Band was playing and they did something for a lady named Alice that I felt needed to be shared. Alice
has been going through a rough time with cancer and they dedicated and sang "Somewhere Over The
Rainbow" to Alice. Even, one of the members danced with Alice while they did the song. Now I know the
song is a song that the Band of Oz is known for. However, David Terry sang this song so well that many of the
people cried sitting at our table.

My sat goes off to the Carousels for making Alice feel so special. They
are a great band and after seeing them truly care about the ones they perform for makes me love them even
more.

The Carousels need to record and release Somewhere Over The Rainbow because their version is
wonderful...

Thanks,

Joy,
Goldsboro, NC

I agree with Ted. A huge thank you goes out to all the sailors and soldiers who are defending our country.

As a former Navy wife, I'd also like to thank the military spouses.

a couple of weeks ago I got what I thought was impossible. I live in winston-salem and was in the parking lot
of a grocery store. I keep 949 in memory on my car radio and just courious to see knowing it was impossible to
get reception but to my shock I heard a static reception of a beach song thinking it had to be a station in NC
but when it was over it was 949. But when I drove a couple of feet the reception was gone. Winston is about
235 miles away from Myrtle Beach. So on a cold clear day in Winston in a Harris Teeter parking I heard what I
thought was impossible made for a few seconds possible.

To the 94.9 The Surf Staff: This is probably cost-probibitive, but have you looked into the possibility of
broadcasting over Sirius Satellite Radio? Just one more way of being able to listen to 94.9 The Surf for
those of us not living in Paradise ....

Jimmy Quick`s "Turn Me over" is such a neat song...I hope his "exraordinary" promo
department gets it going national.
