The previous comment about 94.9 being on XM radio sounds great. Only wish it was possible. Keep those great oldies coming and see you soon on the beach. |

THIS WEEK AT THE BEACH AND PLUCK HIS LITTLE PEE PICKIN PINHEAD OFF HIS BIG FAT BODY IF HE SAYS ANYTHING LESS
THAN NICE ABOUT MY BOY AGAIN. I AM A NICE, FRIENDLY PERSON UNLESS YOU START MESSIN WITH MY YOUNGUNS OR MY
MONEY!
Harriett,
I remember when all that was going on. That was a bunch of folks rattling each other`s chain on here for fun, and was harmless horseplay to spice up a dull comment board.
JQ said he appreciated the attention on here to Coastline.
You shouldn`t come in after the fact threatening to beat up people.....
With you running loose down there people will be scared to go to SOS

Jim Quick and crew are great folks with a loving fan base and I
like them also.
Wow!
I read some of those posts like the above awhile back.
Harriett sounds like one bad mamma.
I hope she doesn`t come through McBee looking for that dude and get ahold of the wrong person!

Hi fellow beach music lovers! I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has voted for "Love Me Or Let Me Go". I am the drummer for The Mighty Saints of Soul and it's a real privalege to be ranked in the top 40 with all the other well deserving groups. We have a CD almost complete with Keith at KHP Music and look forward to sharing some more music with everyone! Until next time, thank you soooo much. Thanks also to Jim McDonald for the lyrics to "Love Me Or Let Me Go"!!
With warmest regards,
Jim Heidenreich (Drummer with SOS) |

We saw The Fantastic Shakers last night at Vista After Five. The music was great and the weather perfect for some good ole beach music.
I miss listening to The Surf while I'm at work. At least I can hear y'all during the weekend and in the evenings.

I think the issue of advertising for the Crazy Horse Saloon has come up before. You have to remember, stations make money on advertising. I don't believe it is up to us to determine what they advertise, as it's a free market. They aren't making you patronize a place, just doing business. |

I really love everything about the surf with one exception. I wish that the Surf did not do promotions for "The Crazy Horse". The Surf is really above such an action.
Thanks for all you do! All the best to The Surf and its listeners everywhere. |

I think a lot of this new material is not very well written, ill played, and a bunch of noise.

Danny, First, you are correct. I do have the option to go see any band I choose. If you knew how to read, you would see that I stated we all have different taste in music. I also said I hoped the new Fabulous Carousels would release a CD as good as the last Carousel group with David Terry. If anything, that should be seen as encouragement, not a put down. The only thing I said was I was not impressed with the songs released by Tony Baker and the Souls. And I'm not alone in this as others have also stated in the comments. So, I am very positive and appreciate all the new music that every band releases. Like so many of us who love beach music, it's good to see new songs coming out; even if I particularly don't care for them. Beach music stays alive from groups like the Carousels and other lesser known bands.
So Danny, now it will rest...

June, if you don't like a band or their songs you are not required to listen!!! I don't care that much for some of the carousel songs either ,but have you ever heard about "if you have nothing good to say,say nothing at all?? At least they are putting out NEW material. They are swingin the bat.How would you like to read that people are not impressed with you ? just a thought, keep it positive. Go see another band or something but PLEASE let it rest |

Thanks R & TL, I've heard these songs from the Souls and I wasn't impressed. But that's why we all have different taste in music. I guess that's why I like the Carousels CD that was released featuring David Terry and the last Carousel Band members. Every song on that CD was good and different. Not often do you hear a group with so much talent as they displayed on that CD. I hope the new Carousels can release a CD in the future that is at least equal to "Living On A Good Thing." If you do not have this CD, I would recommend you get one. There's a song called, "You Make All My Dreams Come True," sung by David Terry that is truly a love song that touches the heart.
Have a wonderful day,
June - NMB |

Hi June,
The CD I am listening to is " Hammock Standing" ( Tony Baker and the Souls) now (The Carousels). This is really a fun CD. I love Carolina Moon ( Erin Baker). She is a little powerhouse and " Through Lovers Eyes" is one of the most beatiful songs I even heard. I think they should be Top 40 everyweek.
I work in a busy office and this CD will make a bad day better.
What ever the Carousels do next I am sure will be great. No reason to expect anytihng less.
Nice chating with you, have a great day!

RA, What CD are you referring to? I have not seen anything come out by the Fabulous Carousels. Are you listening to the Carousel CD called, "Living On A Good Thing?" I have that CD and I agree it is great. If you know where to get a new Fabulous Carousel CD, please let me know...
Thanks,
