I agree with Ted. A huge thank you goes out to all the sailors and soldiers who are defending our country.
As a former Navy wife, I'd also like to thank the military spouses.

a couple of weeks ago I got what I thought was impossible. I live in winston-salem and was in the parking lot of a grocery store. I keep 949 in memory on my car radio and just courious to see knowing it was impossible to get reception but to my shock I heard a static reception of a beach song thinking it had to be a station in NC but when it was over it was 949. But when I drove a couple of feet the reception was gone. Winston is about 235 miles away from Myrtle Beach. So on a cold clear day in Winston in a Harris Teeter parking I heard what I thought was impossible made for a few seconds possible. |

To the 94.9 The Surf Staff: This is probably cost-probibitive, but have you looked into the possibility of broadcasting over Sirius Satellite Radio? Just one more way of being able to listen to 94.9 The Surf for those of us not living in Paradise .... |

Glad to hear the Beach Music here in CC, Tx.
Lots of sand and surf here but, there are no stations that play Beach Music.

Have not logged in lately, just turned 60, 1-1-08 and retire after 35 plus years 12-31-07 and ready to just take it easy and listen any chance I get to 94.9. Saw where "Big John" had been sick, how is he doing now?
