Last year the event raised $74,500!!
Pee Dee Street Rodders is host to the largest independent car and truck show on the East Coast. Last year over 2500 cars and trucks participated. All cars are pre-1989, and the event offers an opportunity to see all makes and models. What a fabulous time for the entire family as well as car enthusiasts! 94.9 the Surf will lead the parade of cars and trucks at 5:00 on Thursday, March 15. The parade begins at South Beach Adventure Park and makes its way up Ocean Boulevard through Myrtle Beach. The cars and trucks will be on display Friday and Saturday at the Waccamaw Factory Shoppes off 501 in Conway. The Surf will either broadcast live or have “cut-backs” to the studio all day on Friday. There are cash giveaways, door prizes, and a fifty-fifty drawing. According to Phebe Holcombe, club member in charge of publicity, the purpose of the Pee Dee Street Rodders is “to promote the appreciation of antique, classic, and street rod automobiles, while benefiting local charities.” Over the past 20 years, they have given over $500,000 to make the community a better place.
