Valentine's Day Promotion Winner

Mary Martin from Myrtle Beach was the lucky winner of 94.9 the Surf’s Valentine’s Day promotion. A loyal listener, Mary registered by phone and was chosen from the hundreds of qualifiers.

Mary and her husband Greg, although not natives of Horry County, have lived in Myrtle Beach since the mid-70’s. They consider themselves true “Myrtle Beachians”! They love their life here and are enthusiastic ambassadors for their community.

They arrived at the Surf studio on Valentine’s evening and were greeted by Harvey and Selene Graham, Ted and Lynne Bell, and Ray Scott. Mary was presented with a dozen long-stemmed roses from Designer Florist. Her husband placed the beautiful heart and diamond necklace from Hayes Jewelers around her neck. After a quick tour of the studio and a few shots of the camera, Only 1 Limo whisked off the two lovebirds in style. Seated by the fire at Sea Merchants, they were given the royal treatment at the popular restaurant. Mary and Greg plan on taking their weekend getaway from Caravelle Resort sometime in the future.

Mary and Greg love music and love listening to the radio. They especially enjoy the oldies and are happy the Surf does, too! They are a darling couple and the perfect candidate for our Valentine’s Day promotion. Mary said, “From beginning to end, it was a wonderful experience. Every single person involved made us feel very, very special!”
