94.9 THE SURF TEAMS UP WITH THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY

Mark your calendar for Tuesday, March 6! 94.9 will partner with the American Cancer Society for a 13- hour (6am – 7pm) radio-thon to raise much-needed funds for the fight against cancer. Whether you are a local resident or an Internet listener, this opportunity is for YOU!

94.9 is dedicated to “giving back” to the community. We are referring here to the community of everyone who has been or will be affected by this insidious disease. And THAT is the community of all humanity!

It’s simple…there are several ways to make a donation:

• CALLS will be taken at the American Cancer Society, locally at (843) 213-0333 or toll free at (877) 227-9416. All major credit and debit cards are accepted.

• MAIL in your donation to the local American Cancer Society Myrtle Beach Office at 950 48th Avenue North, Suite 101, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577. Checks payable to American Cancer Society.

• WALK-IN and make your donation to the Myrtle Beach Cancer Society (above address), the North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce (270 Highway 17 North in North Myrtle Beach), or the studio at 94.9 the Surf (429 Pine Avenue, off Main Street in the Ocean Drive section of North Myrtle Beach).

• DRIVE-THROUGH and drop off your check at Barefoot Landing (4898 Highway 17 South in North Myrtle Beach). Look for the Surf’s blinking lights!

• ON-LINE donations will be accepted. Go to www.949thesurf.com and click on the American Cancer Society logo on the home page. Look for the “Donate Now” button at the top.

94.9 the Surf will be hosting a “friendly competition” among our popular broadcasters…Billy Smith (6-10am), Ted Bell (10-3pm) and Ray Scott (3-7pm). If you want your donation to be earmarked for one of these great guys, just let it be known! Of course, all monies raised go toward the fight against cancer.
