Hall of Fame Foundation 

Do you get confused with all the Halls of Fame surrounding the beach music industry?

There are so many that, unless you are personally involved with them, one can easily  become perplexed or misinformed.

The Hall of Fame Foundation, established in 1991, is a fund designed to provide financial assistance to folks in your community that are in need. Examples of help given in the past include wheelchairs, medical expenses, rehabilitation, pharmaceutical needs, and final expenses. Beneficiaries are selected solely on a financial-need basis, with no regard to race, religion, or shag expertise.

The Foundation is a 501-c tax-exempt entity that is governed by an 11 member (volunteer) Board of Directors whose members have a proven track record of community service. Eddie Monsour currently serves as President of the Board.

There have been many activities to support the Hall of Fame Foundation, including golf tournaments, dance contests, individual shag club activities, private donations, and specialized license plates.

Fat Harold’s Beach Club is hosting the BEACH MUSIC EXTRAVAGANZA on Sunday, March 18 from 1 – 6, proceeds of which will go to the Foundation. Featured artists are the Craig Woolard Band and Sea Cruz. Special guests include Gary Brown, Tim Cashion, Donny and Susan Trexler. Gary Bass, Doug Winstead and Jody Bundy from Coco Loco Party Band, Jim Quick from Coastline, Paul Craver from Men of Distinction, and Craig Michael Woolard (yes, “our” Craig’s son!)

There is a $15 admission fee for this great event, Doors open at 12:30 and the fun (officially) starts at 1:00.BEACH MUSIC EXTRAVAGANZA is sponsored by Fat Harold’s Beach Club, Harold’s on the Ocean (HOTOS), and 94.9 the Surf. In the tradition of beach music magic, come on out and support a great cause…having lots of fun in the process!
