It’s time for the Surf’s Fifth Annual SOS Mystery Grand Marshall contest!!

The contest begins on April 2 and runs through April 24, unless there is a winner before the last clue is given.

This is how it works…

Don David, SOS Parade Chairman, will call the studio of 94.9 three times each day (once on each broadcaster’s show), Monday through Friday, with a clue to identify the 2007 Grand Marshall…one clue per day. Listen to Billy, Ted, and Ray for the designated caller (4th, 9th, etc) to be the lucky name to win a cd or Surf t-shirt. Daily clues will also be posted on our website (www.949thesurf.com) under Contests.

Those 3 daily names are then put into a hat; and on Friday of each week, there will be another winner from that pool who will receive a prize donated by a local business with a retail value of $50.00 or more.

On Tuesday, April 24, the last clue will be given on Ray’s show. If no one guesses who the Grand Marshall is, the mystery dignitary will be announced the next day. All of the weekly winner’s names will then go into a hat for the grand prize drawing, which includes a package of prizes from merchants who sponsored the SOS Mystery Grand Marshall contest. Listen for details!

Of course, if someone correctly guesses who the Grand Marshall is before the last clue on the 24th, the contest ends there. The Grand Marshall will lead the SOS parade on Saturday, April 28 at I:00.
