New Christmas Beach Music Release

Once again KHP Music has "done it" with "Ocean Drive Christmas Volume Two" a compilation of fourteen familiar and original tunes fro this holiday season. The Band of Oz starts things off with "I want To Be Wrapped In Your Arms", featuring Scott Fine on lead vocals with guest musician Tim Gordon on sax. Russell Thompkins, Jr. and the New Stylistics are next with the Chris Biehler & Andy Calabrese penned "Christmas With My Baby". Thye made their debut last year on Volume One & King Tyrone & The Graveyard Ramblers are back with the Jim Quick composition, "What You Done Got For Me". Leave it to Quick to come up with a song like this one. Once you hear it, you'll know what I'm talking about. The Drifters' "Little St Nick" is next, followed by the Embers featuring Debby Mac on her original and shag-happy song, "Boogie Woogie Shake Shag on Christmas". When he's not touring with Grand Funk Railroad, Tim Cashion finds the time to write and record some great songs. His "Christmas Love" is no exception. One of my favorites is "This One Yuletide" from Coastline featuring Albert Rogers. This is another one from the pen of Jim Quick and is awesome. Gary Brown follows with a smooth version of "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas". Second Nature brings us "In December", which is the original version of their popular holiday tune, "Christmas The Best Time Of The Year". Taylor Manning's rendition of "O Holy Night", arranged by her father Doug is next. The next song was a big surprise to me. I knew Randy Hignite could play the keyboards, but I had no idea the boy could deliver vocally like he does on "Christmas In Carolina" with band mates, The Saints of Soul. This is another favorite of mine. The Entertainers have welcomed newest member Gary Lowder by putting him right in the studio to handle lead vocals on their contribution to this project, "We'll Have A Merry Christmas". Not only has Gary excel vocally on this one, he also wrote it. There have been many verisons of "Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer", but I have heard nothing to compare with this version by The Jelly Rolls. Take a listen and I'm sure you'll agree. Rudolph has been offically "Jelly-ized". Last, but no least is "Shaggin' Santa" from the Attractions, featuring bass player and vocalist, David Baysden, on this tune he wrote. So there you go, all my Christmas Music Lovin' Friends. This is one you will want to have in your holiday music collection and readily available for those holiday get- togethers or just relaxing while you sip some egg nog.
