Fellow Tour Players,

Registration for our next event, The Caravelle Resort Classic at Long Bay Resort has been extended until June 17th. However as of today we have received registration from 14 players & would like to have a field size minimum of 24. Please register today if you are planning to play. I will be calling the course tomorrow with an update of the number of players. The cost is $105.00 per player for the event on Saturday June 21st, 2008 with Tee Times beginning at 7:30 am. I have not set the format for this event but it would be great for us to get back to flighted stroke play events for the remainder of the year. Dear Golf Channel Amateur Tour Director,

I just wanted to let you know that we have recently posted a virtual golf course flyover for an upcoming tournament on your tour.

Please take a look at the flyover and forward the links (listed below) to your players if you think it would be a good resource to help them prepare for the tournament. Feel free to add comments on the message board on how to play the course.

MEMBERSHIP PACKS

I received several emails last week regarding the shipment of the Membership Packs. I received emails from the GOLF CHANNEL shipping department which indicated that the Myrtle Beach Tour Membership Packs are being shipped within the next week. Please advise me if you received this email. If you did then your membership pack is on its way. If not I will send a list to the National Office indicating that you were missed and to please find out why. Thank you for your patience as they attempt to get these orders filled.

FINAL REGIONAL MAJOR

GOLF CHANNEL Amateur Tour Chesapeake Classic (REGIONAL MAJOR) July 12th & 13th, 2008. This year’s venue will be at Bay Creek Resort & Club. Located in Cape Charles right on the Chesapeake Bay, Bay Creek offers 2 of the most challenging and breath taking courses anywhere in the country. The Palmer Signature & Nicklaus Signature courses await to challenge the skill level of any golfer. This event will be limited to 190 golfers. Registration is filling fast!!! Also, this tournament MUST be paid in advance. Payment the day of the Tournament will NOT be accepted. Payment by check is acceptable but the member will be placed on the Wait List until the check is received and cleared. The key is to register early (now) to secure a spot in the tournament. Remember: the Regional is worth DOUBLE the points and can be a big determining factor for those trying to win their respective flights on their Tour and ultimately play in the Nationals.

We hope that each of you can make it to Bay Creek and play on 2 of the most spectacular courses anywhere in the country.
