I have been trying to get 94.9 into my I-Tunes so it will play while I'm in other programs. No luck so far, however, I found a free app for I-Phone called Tunein Radio. Go to: By Location, then North America, then United States, then South Carolina, them Myrtle Beach, bingo 94.9 The Surf! I let it play so it will be Now Playing when I go to Tunein. Hopes this helps. *************from the Surf: Thank you so much for sharing this with us.

On my last job,I was able to listen to The Surf while sitting at my desk and daydreaming of being at Myrtle Beach. At the new job, we are not allowed to stream while at work so it is great when I can get home and get back online.Keep up the great job of making us all wish to be back at MB.

I wonder if those having problems with online streaming are Mac users and have recently updated safari. Perhaps downloading the free windows player is an answer.

It will be 2 years Sept. 7 since one of our favorite beach music DJs left us. Really do miss Billy Smith but thankfull for the times we got to hear him on WNMB and the Surf.

I am unable to pull up 94.9 the surf online. Wonder if someone could offer some reason or assistance. I want to refer you to others. ********from the Surf: Bryan, have you tried to access through Warpradio.com? We stream through them and usually hear no complaints.
LORDSPARKY7 09-01-2011 03:49 pm
ARE THERE ANY APPS AVAILABLE FOR LISTENING TO 94.9 ON THE I PHONE OR DROID PHONES? * * * * * from the Surf: Not right now, but we are trying to get to it! Thanks for asking.

For some reason I have not been able to pickup The Surf 94.9 on the internet during the past several days. Is it down! Really miss U. Need to hear the Beach Music to build me up for Fall SOS. Love the station now miss it! *******from The Surf: Mike, streaming here appears to be fine. There could be a problem with your internet provider.

My comment is also directed at John in Charlotte...If you are going to send a nasty comment to the absolute BEST Beach Music station in the COUNTRY, you should at least get your 3rd grade teacher to proof read your email before you send it and correct your mistakes in grammar, spelling, and punctuation. DUH!! If a "loyal listener" can't pardon a seldom occurring technical issue, perhaps you should look within yourself and correct the problems you might discover there!!
The Surf, Ted, Spider, and Bill FOREVER!!!
'nough said.........
Jo from Sunset Beach 08-30-2011 11:01 pm
Thank you so much for putting Spider in the 3-6 slot. Now I can leave my radio on 94.9 all day!!! I just love Spider...great voice, great personality, great show!!!!

The station is doing a great job. Keep the great music playing.
The originals are the best. The imitators just dont do the originals justice. Beach music is fading because of nature. The imitators do no justice for the great inventors of beach music. Keep playing the originals and the memories will be alive.

ref: John in Charlotte. Are you mean by nature or just having a bad day? Have you never made a mistake, or had something go wrong and not turn out the way you intended? What a nasty way to make a comment! You could have said "hey guys, I'm a loyal listener and wonder what went wrong last night? It wasn't up to snuff with what I have heard for a long time from the Surf. I know you'll find out what went wrong and fix it. In other words, John, you could have been nice.

Your live remote for Sunday, August 28th had to be the worse live remote that I have ever listen to. You could just hear the songs on the internet, but Spider and Ted voice came in to loud when they spoke. Plus we (the internet audience) heard all the conversations between Ted, Spider and who you were talking to over the songs. I am a loyal internet listener and have had you on listening for well over 5 years. But I turned you off after an hour and half on Sunday the 28th. I have voted for your station for the station of the year for as long as I can recall. I will have to say that you will not get my vote this year. I really hope that any more live remotes are done better than August 28th was. It was the pits. * * * * * ** * From the Surf: We never want to displease any listener and you can be sure we'll check into whatever technical glitches took place Sunday evening. However, we must say your comments are a little odd. You state you've been a loyal listener for such a long time, but in the next sentance you say an hour and half of something that did not please you is enough to throw us under the bus!

How about a little back ground info on Skipper and Spider. Where they are from etc.
You have the perfect line up. I still miss Billy Smith *******from the Surf: Skipper came to us from a radio station in Wilmington. He's a long time broadcaster with a great attitude about the audience. He has the ability to share with listeners on a one to one basis. The Spider has been around the beach for a long time. He won't reveal his age but we can tell you he an accomplished blues musician. And he knows the beach, beach music, and he's a "people" person. We are fortunate to have the three great talents we have. Skipper in the Mornings, Ted in the mid-day, and The Spider in the afternoons!
Jim 08-27-2011 12:32 am
Bring Ray Scott back he knows his beach music, bands and artist. * * * * from the Surf: We are really happy with the lineup we have and the audience response has been and continues to be wonderful.

Love listening to the surf from 3-6pm now. The addition of Spider Webb is terrific. We used to turn our radio off from 3-6 when Ted left, but now we love all three DJ's and listen all day long. Skipper,Ted and Spider are a great threesome and the music is awesome. We love 94.9 the surf!
