The surf has a terrific line-up of DJ's with the Skipper, Ted Bell, and the Deacon. The Deacon is a legend in his own right. A Hall of Fame announcer who rocked the Strand at the great KZQ. It is a treat hearing him back on the air. He reminds me a little of a DJ we had years ago in Cleveland, the Wild Childe (Dick Kemp). This is personality radio with the best beach music this side of heaven! Only local ownership is able to do this in today's market. I second the comment about the Normans.

So, so happy that 94.9 The Surf is back on the air!! Work days are definitely bearable again... Are you going to have the weekly online voting for the Top 20 (or 40)again? I tried to find it on the new site, but didn't ... and I LOVE that you don't have to sign in everytime. (But I guess you would have to sign in to vote, just to keep it honest, wouldn't you.) Great job guys! love you all...

I'm so glad you're back on the air. The music you're playing is fantastic.
I do hope you can add the feature that tells what song you're playing. That would be great.
Thanks again.

I can bring up the site but cannot get to the music. Help. I love the music the dance the vibe just bought the shag dance cd. Gotta learn the dance. I live in Cape Coral Florida, is there a shag club in my area? * * * From the Surf: Ken, check out shagdance.com. You can get info there about the SOS and many shag clubs. As to getting our music, first make sure your computer has a windows media player or real player. Make sure you don't have such things firewalled in your computer. Clicking on the "listen here" and warp radio icons on our home page should take you directly to the stream. You don't have to register or sign in. You can also access our stream directly from warpradio at www.warpradio.com and then do a station search. Type in the call letters W V C O.

Thanks for answering the questiona about where DJ Ray Scott was earlier from 7/21. I just wanted to let you know that I own an oceanfront home in a sleepy little beach town called Flagler Beach just north of Daytona, FL. and although I love it here, there is something that keeps making me wish that my home was in Myrtle Beach instead. The reason for this is because of the music scene and the great music of 94.9 FM. The music, the dancing and the feeling that N. Myrtle Beach and 94.9 music puts you in a sorta state of mind that is unlike any other feeling. There is just this scene of happiness, everyone coming together to have fun and fellowship through the music scene. I guess what I'm trying to say is that even though I am miles south from N. Myrtle Beach and on this beach here in FL., I look out my window or go to our beach here and dream at being at Hoto's or Harold's and feel the power of 94.9 right here in Florida and wish I was on the beaches of the Carolinas. Thanks for the music via the internet! It sends me to that state of mind that "The Surf" represents!!

Vern from Daytona Beach, FL.

I have tried to access your wonderful station through my smart phone with no success (Droid 2).

I contacted WarpRadio and they say that WVCO 94.9 doesn't have a mobile streaming app. Can you please provide a method for smart phones (mobile app) or have WarpRadio put one up for you?

Thanks,

Neil
**** from the Surf: Neil, we are working on it! Thank you for your kind words.
